“I learned everything in the beginning of my life surrounded by the beauty of the Saint Lawrence River and in the care of a family which extended to a league of Lacrosse Uncles and their families. I learned about commitment and the balance of victory and defeat. But, most importantly I learned about finding the thing that makes you feel the most correct in your being and pursuing it for its spirit. This I learned from my father and I apply It to my Artwork as I create everyday. This is the very essence of “Art of Lacrosse”.

Joni Sarah White is an international artist who hails from the Mohawk territory of Akwesasne. “Art of Lacrosse” is a series of paintings and products which were created to honor Tewaaraton as a tradition as well as a sport.
